New Island, new upgrade

We woke up to the sounds of Union islands Clifton town. The ocean waves and strong winds, sounds of motors from various vessels both from the ocean and sky. The airport being only like 500 meters away.

We took the Jaden Sun ferry  from Union to St. Vincent at 03:30 pm and were told it would be stopping to pick-up and drop-off passengers at Mayreau, Canouan, Bequia then our final stop would be Kingston. I am soooo glad i took my sea-sick pills, the journey was not smooth ….. and together with the fact that it was friday evening and alot of Islanders were travelling to Kingston for the weekend our ferry become one loud party boat by the time we arrived at Kingston harbour around 18:15.

We were really lucky to get a taxi because 5 minutes later the rain started pouring down again. We spent the next couple of minutes stuck in traffic in a chaotic downtown Kingston. Thank goodness our driver knew the town well, he swaved through Christmas shoppers and people trying to get home, down small narrow side streets frantically honking his horn, which really helped us on our way out to Buccament Bay.

We arrived at our hotel at 07:00 pm and after checking in the young receptionest informed us that we had been upgraded and would be spending the next 5 days in one of their villas! Imagine our amazement on entering a beautiful villa with our very own private pool over looking a beautiful pond…..! Amazing!
